Paralio Astros is a very popular holiday location and has a fine sandy beach.Reached by car along the winding coast road in about 30 minutes from Nafplio.
The old town is very picturesque with a ruined castle and stunning views fat the top, and the new town is growing apace - may be too crowded for some.
The harbour area is lovely, with traditional fishing boats and frequent visits from sailing yachts.
There are plenty of good tavernas and the town is large enough that all day to day needs are catered for locally.
A great holiday location.
