Tourniki
details >>
Tourniki is a charming Greek mountain village consisting of a handful of houses and a church built around a natural spring running from the rock in a leafy clearing.
Narrow winding roads take you up into the hills from Argos in about 30 minutes, and you enter another world - a different view of Greece where the wind rustles the leaves of the trees and the sound is broken by nothing more than the goat bells in the distance.
The last 5km of the road to the village are scheduled to be paved in summer 2009, and this will halve the journey time, making the village an easily accessible retreat.
